This past Saturday was the Buffet concert. For those who were wondering on how it went, here is a brief rundown.
It was in the high 60's all day, partly cloudy and windy...So we basically huddled around the campfire and played bean bags. It was probably one of the longest games of bean bags, especially since the wind kept catching the bags.
We surprised Heidi with a poster to celebrate her 40th year...For those of you wondering what a "pirate looks at 40", here it is:
We then headed to the parking lot to hang out with some of our favorite Buffet fans. Since it was cold, the crowd was "semi sub-dued". Some how, in the mix of 3 parking lots and thousands of fans, we parked in front of my good high school buddy...wow fate!
From there, we headed down the hill, up the hill, and into the concert area. We picked out spot on the lawn, and hunkered down. Then the rain started. By the end of the concert I had on: a long sleeve t-shirt, another top, 2 hooded sweatshirts, and a jacket. But I was warm and DRY! We could have done without the pot, but at a Buffet concert, no matter where you sit, there will be pot. We got back to the "camp" area about 11pm and in bed by 130am.... (needed another meal prior to bed)
